So what is a full containment seat? In the true sense of the name it is a seat that has been tailor made for the driver, in other words a full body measurement is supplied to the manufacturer and a seat is supplied that fits perfectly.
A full containment seat also has “shoulder wings” to support the driver further in holding him securely in the seat. The positioning of these along with the seat belt holes for shoulders and hips can only be positioned correctly when the seat is measured for the driver.
If the seat does not fit the driver correctly the chances of the seat belts also not fitting correctly and this can lead to major issues which will be covered in our seat belt section.
