A kart suit is designed specifically for abrasion resistance, and is not fire resistant. In a race car, you need a Nomex suit that is designed to protect against fire, and has an SFI, FIA or ISO certification. An approved FIA Karting suit has the Homologation Label with CIK on it. This designates a karting suit and cannot be used in other forms of motorsport.
Likewise a Fire retardant suit is not abrasive resistant so cannot be used for Karting.
